Mykola Tomenko, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Friday, during the briefing in the Parliament commenting the yesterday President´s statement regarding the involvement of the People´s Deputies into the case on the minor seducement, declared that "if the president had made such statement, probably he knows more them al of us."

 

"I am commenced that if the President had made such doubtful, ruthless and crucial statement he is ought to go further and give testimony to the Prosecutor General regarding all that is known for him regarding this case", - M. Tomenko stressed.

 

He declared that after the yesterday Viktor Yushchenko public address produced an impression that neither General Prosecution, nor laws enforcing bodies do not bear the whole vital information in that the president possesses. "Probably it is caused by the fact that recently "Artek" was subordinated to the State Cases Administration and President of Ukraine directly", - the vice-Chairman informed.

 

At the same time, M. Tomenko emphasized that: "Everything that concerns doubtful "Artek case" according to my position that is: one may not like political opponents, criticize them but one is not allowed to destroy the country. What we have today resembles more the informational campaign aimed at the Ukraine destroying then the destroying of the political opponents."
